Who is responsible for your information?

Love Warranty Limited is the controller of personal information collected through this public website and its enquiry forms. Dealers, programme partners and other organisations may separately control information they provide through the Love Warranty platform or in connection with a warranty.

This notice covers the public website. A dealer agreement, warranty policy or other service-specific notice may also apply to a particular relationship.

What information do we collect?

We collect information you choose to give us, including your name, email address, telephone number, company, vehicle or policy details, enquiry text, job interest and portfolio link where relevant.

Our systems also receive limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as browser details, referring page, timestamps and server request information. If you consent to analytics or support chat, those providers may also collect usage, device and interaction information.

We do not use this public website to collect card details, creditworthiness data, precise GPS location, public profile content or passwords.

Why do we use it?

  • To answer sales, support, claims, renewal, dealer and general enquiries.
  • To provide requested information and administer warranty-related services.
  • To assess job enquiries and applications.
  • To keep the website secure, diagnose faults and prevent misuse.
  • With consent, to measure website use and provide support chat.
  • To comply with legal duties and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Our lawful bases

We rely on steps requested before entering a contract and performance of a contract when handling service enquiries. We rely on legitimate interests for ordinary business communications, service improvement, security and fraud prevention where those interests are not overridden by your rights. We rely on legal obligation where records must be kept or disclosed by law.

We rely on consent for optional analytics and support-chat storage. You can withdraw that consent at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.

Who receives information?

Authorised Love Warranty staff receive information relevant to their role. We use service providers for website hosting, email delivery, form storage and analytics. The current public-site providers include Vercel or the deployed hosting provider, Supabase, Resend and Google Analytics. Optional providers load only after the relevant cookie choice.

We may also share information with professional advisers, regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies, warranty partners or a business purchaser when reasonably necessary and lawful. We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards, we use an adequacy regulation, approved contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism. Provider privacy notices give further information about their locations and arrangements.

How long do we keep it?

We retain information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected, including answering the enquiry, maintaining a business or warranty record, meeting regulatory, tax and accounting duties, resolving disputes and protecting legal rights. Different records therefore have different retention periods. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it in line with our retention process.

How do we protect it?

We use access controls, encrypted transport, restricted service credentials, logging and supplier controls appropriate to the information and risk. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please do not include unnecessary sensitive information in a general website form.

Your rights

Subject to legal conditions and exemptions, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, or object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Contact support@lovewarranty.com to exercise a right. We may need to verify your identity. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children

The public website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly use it to solicit personal information from children. A parent or guardian should contact us if they believe a child has submitted information.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The date above shows the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
